After graduating from Findlay High School in 2005, Allie Niekamp Terek became one of the most accomplished setters in Georgia Tech volleyball history. Just the third player to record a triple-double (not easy in volleyball), she ranks in the top 5 in Yellow Jacket career assists, ace serves per set and assists per set. GT reached the 20-win mark three times in her four seasons on the squad. An excellent student, Allie was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic team and to the Academic All-District team by ESPN The Magazine. As a senior she received the Georgia Tech Total Person Award, for her excellence in athletics, academics, leadership and community service. Before becoming a Yellow Jacket, Allie was a star volleyball & basketball athlete at both Liberty-Benton and Findlay High School. She earned 8 varsity letters in total across her four years. At L-B she was a Blanchard Valley Conference first-team volleyball player as a sophomore. In her senior year at Findlay, Allie was named the Greater Buckeye Conference volleyball player of the year, the District 8 Division 1 Player of the Year and a second team All-Ohio performer, helping the Trojans advance to the Elite 8. Allie and her husband Vince live in Columbus with their two children.
