

Amy Jauert established herself as one of the most versatile Findlay High (1991-94) athletes, earning all-conference honors in basketball, softball and tennis, all-Ohio honors in basketball and softball and all-American laurels in water polo. As an all-Ohio player in basketball, Amy became the first freshman starter, logged 93 straight starts, led FHS to four straight Buckeye Central Conference titles as a two-time BCC Player of the Year, hit 9 of 10 three-pointers in a game, scored a school record 39 points in a single game and had 1,607 career points. Amy went on to being a four-year dual sport letter winner in basketball and softball at Cleveland State University. As a CSU catcher, she set single season records for putouts, RBI and home runs, played on the first CSU team invited to the NCAA tournament, became the first CSU female named to the Division I GTE Academic All-America first team for softball in 1997, and earned Midwestern Collegiate Conference honors in 1996, 1997 and 1998. She graduated magna cum laude after being honored as top student teacher of the year, College of Education Major of the Year and top physical education major in Ohio.
