

Bill Lobb compiled a 288-144 record as the girls’ basketball coach at Findlay High School for 19 seasons (1980-1998), guiding the Trojans to four regional tournament appearances. The 1979-80 Findlay High girls’ team, coached by Lobb, posted a 20-0 regular season, finished 24-1 overall and was the No. 3-ranked UPI Class AAA team. Findlay High won 10 conference girls’ basketball championships, 14 sectional titles, four district crowns and had two district runner-up finishes. Lobb was rewarded as the 1997 Associated Press Northwest Ohio Coach of the Year, was a nine-time conference coach of the year and he coached the North in the 1995 North/South All-Star game. Lobb graduated from Uhrichsville High School (1964), received a BA from Muskingum (1968) and a masters from Bowling Green State University (1972). He played basketball for John Stozich at Uhrichsville and was Stozich’s assistant at Findlay for 10 seasons (1968-1979).
