Bob Wortman

The only man ever to officiate in both a Super Bowl and NCAA basketball championship game in the same season, Bob Wortman has been an official since 1947 and is recognized as one of the nation’s top football officials. In his career, Wortman officiated two Super Bowls (1972, 1978) and four NCAA Final Four basketball championships. Wortman worked major college basketball for 26 years and he began working in professional football in 1864 in the American Football League and the National Football League. He played professional baseball for five years in the Cleveland Indians farm system. A three-sports star at Findlay College, Wortman lettered for three years in football, basketball and baseball. He is 15th in career scoring in Findlay College basketball with 1,188 points and holds the single-game scoring record of 52 points in the old Findlay College gymnasium. Wortman graduated from Findlay High School and Findlay College.
