

Brad Bosse, an all-Ohio high jumper during his high school career at Findlay High, perfected the Fosbury Flop and soared to a height of 7-feet as a Florida State University performer in 1977-79. His performances helped FSU win the indoor and outdoor Metro Conference titles twice and place seventh at the NCAA outdoor championships. Bosse was awarded Most Valuable Jumper and still ranks among the top 20 best jumpers at FSU. At Findlay High, Bosse was a captain of the 1976 basketball team, broke seven records as a senior, was a record-setting two-time Buckeye Conference champion, set 1976 sectional and district marks, logged a record 6-6 effort at Culver Military Academy in 1974, and twice earned all-Ohio honors, setting an Ohio record with the third highest jump in history at 6-10 and winning the Class AAA title. He missed qualifying for the Olympics by a ¼-inch. Bosse went on to earn all-America honors at Jackson Community College in Michigan, finishing second nationally indoors at 6-10. He completed his bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Findlay (1987). coached track for 10 seasons in the Findlay City Schools and taught from 1999-2007.
