

With nearly 600 victories, University of Findlay graduate Cheri Harrer is one of the top women’s basketball coaches in the country. As a Wynford Royal, Harrer participated in volleyball, basketball and track before earning 9 letters at UF, including 4 as a starter on the Oilers basketball team. She was named to the 1985-86 NAIA All-American Scholar Athletic team and was also selected an NAIA District 22 basketball honoree. She still ranks second at UF in the javelin. Harrer was named the head basketball coach at Baldwin Wallace College in 1990. After two sub .500 seasons, she has reeled off 27 consecutive winning seasons including sixteen 20-win seasons, eight Ohio Athletic Conference regular season titles, six OAC tournament championships and four trips to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight. Her Baldwin Wallace 2000 team registered a 16-0 OAC regular season record and a 28-2 overall mark. Cheri’s overall record at B-W is 584-221, which includes a 20-8 finish during the 2018-19 campaign. Harrer, who is BW’s Senior Women’s Administrator, is a member of five halls of fame, including the University of Findlay and the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame.
