Clark Frazier

The competition shooting career of Clark Frazier has snapped 50 years, beginning as a member of the Kentucky Military Institute rifle team in 1944. Competitive shooting became a way of life and winning matches, and national titles were the rewards. Frazier won the National Champion muzzle loading titles in 1954, 1957, 1971 plus awards in ’75, ’76, ’77, ’88 and ’90. He captured the prestigious Crosley Cup in 1954 and 1970, adding national honors in a wide range of categories in both precision bench and offhand skills. Included in his array of 350 medals and awards are 14 Ohio State championships between 1953 and 1994. In 1986 high power competition, Frazier became the 646th civilian to earn the coveted Department of the Army Distinguished Rifleman Award. He has won gold, silver and bronze medals for long-range shooting at the NRA Camp Perry Nationals. Frazier, who continues to compete as a member of the Findlay Rifle Club, has promoted the sport with family participation, developing new technology in match rifles and serving the National Rifle Association as amuzzle-loading expert.
