David Kuenzli

David Kuenzli was four-sport performer at Upper Sandusky and then lettered three years at Ohio University as a halfback before becoming a practicing attorney in Findlay. Although he lettered in basketball (1951-53), track (1952-53) and baseball (1954) at Upper Sandusky, Kuenzli made his mark on the gridiron, earning UPI first-team all-Ohio and back of the year honors (1953) and playing in the Ohio North/South game after setting school and Northern Ohio League records for touchdowns (32), points (227) and extra points (35). Kuenzli, who ran a 10.5 in the 100-yard dash, also had 2,160 net yards, averaging 240 per game and 9.1 per carry, and was 34 of 58 passing for his career. Kuenzli then earned letters in 1955, ’56 & ’57 at Ohio University where he also was president of Phi Delta Theta and Inter-Fraternity Council and was an ROTC commissioned officer. He completed an MA in Political Science at OU, earned a graduate assistantship for doctoral study at Syracuse University and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Ohio State University and has served on several local boards.
