

Denny Studrawa came out of Miami, Ohio “Cradle of Coaches” and became a highly regarded wrestling official at the high school and collegiate level. The 1955 Miami graduate was selected to officiate 10 consecutive Ohio high school state tournaments as well as sectional and district championships for 11 years. For 12 seasons, he officiated collegiate matches at Bowling Green and Toledo as well in the Ohio Athletic Conference and Hoosier-Buckeye Collegiate Conference. Studrawa was a three-year football letterman at Miami and a first-team Mid-American Conference quarterback in 1953. Following graduation, he had head football coaching stints at Eaton (1959-61), Fostoria Senior (1961-76) and Hopewell-Loudon (1987-89) as well as an assistant at Findlay College in 1978. His 1972 Fostoria grid team won a Great Lakes League title, and he had three state wrestling qualifiers at Fostoria from 1961-64. He has also served as a football radio commentator for six seasons.
