

Gerald Inbody became a successful high school educator and coach in the sports of basketball and football, his career spanning three decades at Cory-Rawson. Inbody’s achievements with the Hornets included two Blanchard Valley Conference basketball championships (1975-76 & 1979-80) when his squads posted records of 17-3 and 17-5. He was selected Ohio Class A Coach of the Year in 1975-76. His 14-year basketball coaching career included stints at Hardin Northern and The Plains High School in Athens (1966-67) where his teams went 16-5. Inbody, a Findlay College graduate, also coached football at The Plains (1972 & 1973) and posted records of 9-1 and 7-3, was a two-time Southeastern District Coach of the Year, and captured a league title in 1971. He was a 12-year football assistant at Cory-Rawson before assuming the head coaching reins in 1991 and guided the Hornets to an 8-2 record and a BVC crown in 1992. The Arlington native played football and basketball at Arlington High School and was a member of the 50-0 Arlington grid teams coached by the legendary “Doc” Castor.
