Jim Rucki

Findlay High School’s Jim Rucki has accomplished the unique feat of winning over 400 games as a high school basketball coach and recording over 300 wins as a high school baseball coach. Before arriving at Findlay High School, Jim coached the Rocky River boys’ basketball team to 160 victories. He has had similar success as the basketball coach at FHS, where he has led the Trojans to 285 wins, 6 league championships, 2 district championships and one Elite Eight appearance, the best of any Findlay basketball team since their 1948 state championship. In seven seasons as the Liberty-Benton head baseball coach, Rucki led the Eagles to 110 wins and 2 BVC championships. At Rocky River, his baseball teams won 192 games and advanced to the Division II state championship game twice in 13 seasons. His accomplishments were rewarded with an induction into the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. The 1984 graduate of Muskingum College has never had a losing record in his 19 seasons at the helm of the Trojans’ basketball program.
