

As a placekicker for the Findlay High School Trojans and the Ohio State Buckeyes, Josh Huston garnered Associated Press Division I 1st Team all-Ohio, and 1st Team all-Big Ten honors. At Findlay High, Huston was successful on 17 of his 20 field goal attempts and missed just 4 extra points in 88 attempts. Seventy-eight of his 93 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. For his efforts, he was named AP all-Ohio twice. As a Buckeye in 2005, Josh led the Big Ten in field goals made with 22, was second in field goal percentage at 79 percent and was third in the Big Ten in points scored with 110. Huston tied an OSU stadium record against Texas when he converted 5 of 6 field goals. In the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, Huston’s two field goals and four extra points helped the Buckeyes defeat Notre Dame 34-20. Later that year, he scored 7 points in the East West Shrine Bowl game, including 4 extra points and a 47-yard field goal. During his Buckeye career, Huston missed just one extra point and was part of four OSU victories over Michigan.
