Julie Yingling

Julie Yingling excelled in volleyball and basketball, earning all-conference and player of the year honors at both the high school and collegiate level. In two seasons at Findlay College, she helped the Oilers compile a 109-31 record and earned Western Buckeye Collegiate Conference Player of the Year honors in 1987. She also was second in the WBCC in kills (3.51 per game) and third in service aces (3.57). The 1984 Findlay High graduate was a team captain in 1983 when the Trojans made their first and only regional volleyball appearance. She was also the Buckeye Conference Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection. Then in basketball, Yingling was the 1983-84 Buckeye Conference Player of the Year and first-team all-district and all-conference selection. On the hardcourt, Yingling averaged 13.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
