Kathy Lee Morris

Kathy Lee Morris’ stellar basketball career began at Vanlue High School where she earned all-Blanchard Valley Conference and all-district honors four straight years (1982-1985) and twice was recognized as an all-state player. She set numerous Vanlue records, including 43 points in a single game and career totals of 1,492 points and 724 rebounds. She also had a BVC-leading 19.6 scoring average as a freshman. In 1985, Kathy took her talents to Muskingum College where she again earned ll-Ohio Athletic Conference recognition four straight years (1986-1989). As a senior, she captained the team to its first undefeated (16-0) OAC championship season and a trip to the NCAA Division III Elite 8, finishing as the OAC’s third all-time leading scorer (1,560 points, 18.4 ppg), its No.2 free throw (84 percent) and 3-point (44 percent) shooter. Following graduation with degrees in History, Physical Education, Health & Sports Science, Kathy took her talents to Adrian College in Michigan where she has been the women’s basketball coach for 25 years. She has amassed the most wins in school history (266) and guided the Bulldogs to numerous Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament semi-final appearances. In 2000, Kathy was inducted into Muskingum College’s Hall of Fame.
