

Kenneth Brooks distinguished himself as a premier prep basketball player at Findlay High, earning UPI Player of the Year and all-Ohio honors in 1972. His outstanding play as a three-year letterman helped the Trojans compile a 53-10 record from 1969-72, averaging a career-high 24.3 points as a senior. He ranked third all-time in scoring at FHS. As a catcher, Brooks was a member of the Trojans’ baseball squad which captured the 1971 Ohio Class “AAA” championship and finished as the 1972 runner-up. He also was a catcher on the American Legion baseball team which finished fourth in the 1972 national tournament. Brooks went on to Ohio State before transferring to Eastern Michigan where he lettered three years and earned his bachelor’s degree. In 24 years at Pandora-Gilboa, Brooks has served as head boys (1978-1985) and girls (1991-2002) basketball coach, head baseball (1979-1982; 1986-1999) coach, assistant in football (1978-84) and athletics director (1982-2002).
