Kristy Coppes

Kristy Coppes was a record-setting women’s soccer player at Findlay High School and Bowling Green State University.

The 2001 FHS graduate was a 4-year starter for the Trojans women’s soccer team and holds the school record for goals in a match (13), in a season (75) and in a career (114). The 13 goals in a match and 75 in a season are the best in the history of Ohio high school women’s soccer. As a senior, Kristy received All-Ohio second team honors, led FHS to an 18-2 record and keyed a regional tournament appearance.

Kristy had immediate success at BGSU where she was named the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year (2001), led the Falcons in goals scored all four years, three times was named the BG Offensive Player of the Year, led the Falcons to three MAC tournaments and a championship in 2004.

Kristy still holds several BG records for goals in a game (6), in a season (18), and a career (52), most match winning goals in a season (6) and a career (14), fastest to score 3 goals (5 min 56 sec) in a match, and has the three fastest times to score 4 goals in a game. In 2010, Kristy was the first women’s soccer player to be inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame.

Kristy and her son, Boone, live in Florida where she is a Strategic Sales Support Manager for Chadwell Supply.
