Mike Von Stein

Mike Von Stein quarterbacked Cory-Rawson to back-to-back unbeaten seasons in 1965 (8-0-1) and 1966 (9-0) while earning all-Ohio first-team honors as a linebacker in 1966. The Hornets were also two-time Blanchard Valley Conference champions. Von Stein was a two-time BVC quarterback and linebacker and earned first-team Northwest Ohio honors as a linebacker in both 1965 and 1966, was all-Ohio honorable mention at linebacker in 1965. Cory-Rawson also claimed the BVC basketball title with Von Stein as captain. As a member of the Bowling Green State University freshman team in 1967, Von Stein was voted most valuable defensive player. He then earned two letters as a linebacker before earning his bachelor’s degree from BGSU in 1971 and his master’s in 1972. Von Stein coached football at Findlay High (1972-74), Lima Shawnee (1975-76) and the University of Findlay (1977). Since 1978, he began as a sales representative for American General and has advanced to Senior Vice President for Agency Development.
