
Powerlifting has been Ralph Brown’s passion since the mid-1970s, and he’s been a champion at every level. He won the Bob Moon Memorial at 181, 198 and 220 pounds and set many records along the way with top efforts in the squat (650 pounds), bench press (475), deadlift (610) and overall (1,735). Competing only in drug-free meets, Brown has performed in over 100 meets in a 30-year span and continues to set state, national, American and world records for his age group. As a master lifter (40s & 50s), Brown has recorded top efforts in the squat (635), bench (440), deadlift (550) and overall (1,595) for 242-pound lifters. Since 1998, competing at 220 and 242 pounds, he is a 6-time champion in world masters and national masters powerlifting and national masters bench press; 4-time world masters bench, police and fire national powerlifting and bench press titlist; and an 8-time Ohio state masters powerlifting and bench champion. He also has titles in world masters police and fire powerlifting and bench press.
