

For 38 years, Scott Carlin coached basketball at the high school, college and professional levels. Playing basketball for Findlay High School, Scott was a three-year starter, earning third team all-Buckeye Conference recognition as a sophomore. As a senior he was the Trojans’ captain and team MVP, first-team all-conference, the Northwest Ohio AA Player of the Year and a member of the Cleveland Plain Dealer Dream Team. Scott was also named to the 1967 AA All-Ohio second team. He is currently 12th on Findlay High School’s all-time career scoring list (938 points). Following his remarkable high school hardwood career, he lettered four years for the St. Benedict’s College (Atchison, Kan.) Ravens while earning his degree. After coaching at St. Benedict’s as a graduate assistant for a year and 10 years at Trinity Bible College, Scott began his pro coaching career with the Wyoming Wildcatters of the Continental Basketball Association (5 years) and then as the Rochester (Minn.) Flyers head coach. He spent the next 21 years coaching at Master’s Touch High School and then at Grace Academy High School in Washington. He has been named coach of the year several times, including twice by the Northwest B1 Conference. Recently retired, Scott now makes Findlay his home again.
