Scott Garlock

Scott Garlock was associated with championship-caliber football for parts of 3 decades. His success stretched across the prep and collegiate ranks.

Scott graduated from Findlay High in 1990 where he played football, basketball and baseball. As the Trojans’ starting quarterback, he set several passing records that remained unbroken for more than 10 years.

He became a University of Findlay 4-year letterman and was a member of the 1992 NAIA Championship team. As a senior, Scott guided UF to the NAIA quarterfinals, throwing for 1,265 yards and 14 TDs.

In 1995, Scott was hired as a teacher at Defiance High where he was an assistant coach in three sports, including football. He helped guide the Bulldogs to a 36–10 win over Uniontown Lake in the 1997 Div. II title game.

Scott became the Cory-Rawson head coach in 2001 and the following year he took the helm at Liberty-Benton. He led the Eagles to 5 Blanchard Valley Conference titles and was named the 2005 Ohio Div. V Coach of the Year. In 11 years as a head football coach, Scott’s record was 98-30.

Scott and his wife, Angie, have 5 children, Brandon, Taylor, Carson, Lincoln and Kameron, and 2 grandchildren, and live in Findlay.
