Scott Renninger

Scott Renninger spent parts of four decades coaching football at the high school and collegiate level, recording a 33-16 record, an undefeated season (1968) and a 16-game winning streak at Riverdale High School where his 1971 baseball team won a league title as well. He was part of an unbeaten season (1971) as the defensive line coach at Eastern Michigan (71-73) before a 4-year stint at his alma mater, Heidelberg College, where his 1977 baseball team set a school record for wins. Since 1978, Renninger has been the offensive line coach at Westminster, (Pa.) College, helping guide the Titans to three national championships (’88, ’89, ’94), two runner-up finishes (’90, ’93) and four undefeated seasons. His baseball teams made 17 district tournament appearances. Renninger was a three-sport star at Findlay High, earning 3 letters in baseball, serving as a tri-captain in football (‘61) and played on the ’61-62 Buckeye Conference championship basketball team. He went on to earn 4 letters in baseball and 3 in football at Heidelberg, graduating in 1966. He received his master’s degree from Eastern Michigan.
