

Sue Ann Sandusky was a successful international rifle shooter in the 1970s and ‘80s. A member of the U.S. International Shooting Team for many years, she won numerous national and international competitions and set many national records. She acquired six gold medals in world competition while representing the U.S., and in 1978 she won three gold medals and the title, “World Champion”, at the World Shooting Championships in Seoul, Korea. Introduced to rifle shooting through a junior program at the Findlay Rifle and Pistol Club, Sandusky began competing seriously while attending Texas Christian University where she was a 3-time all-American selection (1972, ’73, ’74). An officer in the United States Army, Sandusky has received the Distinguished International Shooter Badge in recognition of her performance in international military competition, and the Distinguished Rifleman Badge for excellence in service rifle marksmanship. Sandusky is currently serving as the United States Defense Attache at the American Embassy in Monrovia, Liberia.
