Susan Deeds Rossman was a basketball and volleyball standout at both Findlay High School and then Findlay College and has gone on to coach volleyball at Bluffton and Cory-Rawson high schools. In college, she was a first-team all-conference and all-district volleyball player as a senior. She was also an NAIA Academic All-American. The Oilers posted an 86-18 record in her three years as a starter. On the basketball court, she scored 1,099 points and collected 531 rebounds with single-game highs of 31 points and 17 rebounds. She held school records for free throws made in a game (15) and career free throw percentage (.759). As a senior in 1987-88, she was the first female recipient of the Mancuso Award for outstanding student-athletes. Rossman helped Findlay High make its first regional volleyball appearance, was a first-team all-conference volleyball and basketball player as a senior and earned all-district honorable mention in volleyball and special mention All-Ohio in basketball. Rossman was the volleyball coach for three years at Bluffton —where she was the Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in 2006—and has completed five seasons as the head coach at Cory-Rawson.
