Ted Kramer

Ted Kramer played on the 1984 Findlay High state golf championship team as a freshman but went on to become one of Findlay’s most accomplished hockey players and a 1989 draftee of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. Kramer began playing hockey as a 4-year-old at HRC, was a member of AAA teams in Toledo and Detroit by age 10 and set an Ohio high school record with 61 goals and 30 assists in 1984-85 as a member of the Findlay High hockey team. He was first-team all-league, the team MVP and league scoring champ for the St. Michael’s Buzzers Junior “B” team in Toronto and earned a four-year scholarship to Michigan. At Michigan, he played in a school-record 144 games, was a three-time CCHA all-academic selection, tallied 70 goals and 70 assists and played on the No.1-ranked 1992 Final Four team which fell 3-1 to Wisconsin. He was also a member of the gold winning team at the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1990. He signed professionally with the Kings in 1992 and played for one year with the Phoenix Road Runners.
