

Terry Grose is known for his prowess on the golf course, but he developed his athletic talents at McComb High School, earning 11 varsity letters. After winning player of the year honors as a freshman on the Bowling Green State University golf team, Grose went on to qualify for the 1973 U.S. Amateur in Toledo, make several appearances in the Ohio Amateur, earned a spot at the 1992 U.S. Mid-Amateur, missed the cut for the 1996 Senior Tour by a stroke, was runner-up in the 1992 Ohio Public Links match play, second at the Toledo Open, won four 4 mini-tour events, was a 2003 alternate for U.S. Senior Open at Inverness, set 7 course records and claimed over 60 tourney titles during a spectacular career. At the age of 69, during the 2016 golf season, Grose either shot his age or under 36 times. Grose has also been Northwest Ohio director of Ohio Public Links (2000-08) & co-founder of the nationally recognized All-star Junior Tour. The 1965 McComb grad was the point guard on back-to-back unbeaten teams as a junior and senior, quarterbacked an unbeaten football team as a senior and helped the Panthers to four straight district finals in baseball. He was a chemical technician at Sylvania Electric in Ottawa (1968-74) and has sold insurance since 1976.
