Travis Clark

Travis Clark is a 2001 graduate of McComb High School where he excelled in football and wrestling. He was a 4-year starter in football and as a senior was named the Blanchard Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He was also 1st-team All-Ohio as a defensive end in leading the Panthers to a 12-1 record. As a wrestler, Travis was a 2-time state qualifier. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer and was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He became a 2-time University Nations All-American, a Senior Nationals All-American and a World Teams Trials qualifier as a Greco-Roman wrestler. Upon returning home in 2005, Travis was a 2-time NCAA DII All-American at the University of Findlay by placing 4th as a sophomore and 8th as a senior. He was also a 3-time NCAA Academic All-American. He has continued to compete in Jiu Jitsu and Grappling where he won 10 World titles, 4 Pan American championships and is a 3-time Team USA grappling member. For the past 16 years, Travis has coached high school boys and girls wrestling in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has had 84 state qualifiers, 24 state placers and 4 Texas state champions. His girls’ teams have a UIL state title, 2 Texas dual titles and 2 runners up finishes. His All-American Wrestling Club has had 84 All-Americans, sent 36 wrestlers to college and has won 4 Texas girls state freestyle team crowns.
